A faulty amplifier on a utility pole on Eagle Point Road caused a cable and Internet outage for some Clark Lake customers this morning. Rain apparently seeped into the housing of the amplifier causing it to short out. A Comcast crew replaced the amplifier. Service was restored about 9:45 am today (Sunday 10/16/16).
The utility pole is the same one CE crews accessed on October 4th to restore power to the Eagle Point area. A limb had snapped an electrical wire causing the outage.
The two incidents don’t appear related.
