Clark Lake Catch-up News roundup:

Concurrent with last night’s storm, part of Clark Lake lost power.  The outage was first noticed around 1 am.  The map above shows outages at about 7 am.  For others, it may have been a quick blink.  By 9:30 am, power was restored.  At 7 am, Consumers Energy crews were working on this pole located on Eagle Point Road.

Beth June’s rain gauge recorded 1 5/8 inches of rain overnight.  The day before, 1 inch.

As reported in yesterday’s article about the Lakeview West road repair, Jackson County Department of Transportation crews began work in the morning and predicted they would finish by yesterday afternoon.  As you can see, that happened.  The area is repaved and the cave-in potential eliminated.

This photo shows the old culvert being removed.

A number of culverts in Jackson date from the 1960s and are not in good shape.  This work could be in the County’s future for awhile.  This culvert allows runoff from the Eagle Point swamp to flow into the lake.

While working on the repair, JCDOT also took care of some nasty potholes on Lakeview West.
