Under cold gray skies, and dark descending all too early, the wonders of Christmas brings light.  Whether it be gift giving, decorations, gatherings, or the Christmas story itself, the spirit cheers all who partake.  A satisfying helping of that arrived at the Clark Lake Community Center in two ways recently.  The cottage radiated the beauty of the season, thanks to decorations expertly placed by Suzanne Walz and her daughter, Emily Reynolds.  Laughter and smiles filled the historic space as the Clark Lake Garden Angels held their Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, December 3rd.  So, what was that like?  Photos and videos help tell the story.

First, a thank you from the Garden Angels.

These photos illustrate the range of craft items and scope of talent of the Garden Angels.  See something you like?  The Garden Angels may have additional inventory.  Contact Shelly at 740-2777.

This event was a fundraiser for the Garden Angels.  These talented volunteers put many hours into landscaping the area surrounding the Community Center.  This year, that will include the new Pretty Pergola.  Their masterful work can also be seen at the Ocean Beach/North Lake Triangle and at the Spirit Trail monument in the County Park.  With dollars received, they buy plants and mulch each season.  Within the last couple years, the Garden Angels have installed curbing at the Triangle and at the north entrance of the Community Center.  They also incur costs to maintain the irrigation for the Triangle and around the Community Center.

The Community Center is beautifully decorated for the season.  Suzanne Walz and her daughter, Emily, brought out the best in this historic cottage.  Take a look.

Wondering where to hold an event?  The Clark Lake Community Center is available through December, and again, starting in March.
