On Saturday, November 11, Columbia Township Police responded to a single-car crash at approximately 11:13 am, at 7900 Jefferson Road. Police identify the driver as 20-year-old Katelyn B. Eggenton of Onsted. The officer discovered through the investigation that Eggenton was traveling east on Jefferson Road when her vehicle left the road and struck a tree. As a result of the crash Eggenton received non-life-threatening injuries. She was treated at the scene of the crash and transported to Henry Ford Health, Jackson for further treatment. Police say Eggenton was wearing her seat belt at the time and alcohol was not a factor in this crash. The crash still remains under investigation.
There was a brief interruption with traffic flow on Jefferson Rd. while the crash was investigated and cleaned up.
Columbia Township Fire Department was also at the scene. Assisting with the crash was the Michigan State Police.
