Work is commencing to improve the section of the Clark Lake Spirit Trail that runs parallel to Hyde Road, at the west end (from Doyle’s to Lions Park).  Over time, roots and weather have distorted the surface of what was formerly the railroad bed for the Cincinnati-Northern Railroad.  Starting tomorrow (Tues 4/25), this section of the Trail will be closed for the first phase of the project.  When weather conditions are correct, a thick layer of new asphalt will cover the original surface.    The result?  A smoother ride on your bike and more inviting path for your walk or run.

Later, the asphalt section of the Trail that runs through the County Park is due for improvement, too.  In this video, you’ll hear more about the west end project, including the preliminary steps that took place during Spirit Trail Cleanup on April 15.
