It doesn’t happen frequently. Clark Lake’s latest freeze is like a layer of glass on top of the water. If you go out on it, you have the sensation that you may soon be wet. Today Brian and Elise Fish put their skates on, enjoyed the smooth ride and didn’t get wet. Given that the ice hasn’t been on the lake long and couldn’t be very thick, they stayed close to shore. This is one of Clark Lake’s truly amazing moments.
This is a perfect time to check out what lies beneath–before snow or rain distorts the perfect view. Today Brian and Elise spotted five or six turtles nestled on the bottom in about three feet of water.
