It pays not to turn your back on a Clark Lake sunset.  You may have thought the show was over.  But wait!  There was more.  That happened tonight.  Here in four phases is how the sunset progressed.

Phase one.  The sun has not yet slipped behind the horizon, and for a while, it seemed there was little more to it.

Phase 2.  Purple emerges as a dominate color, as a surprise.

Phase 3.  Then this. The color wheel turns to orange and red.

Phase 4.  More of the same, but more intense.
