Every so often Google updates publicly available satellite photos of the entire world. That, of course, includes our own piece of paradise, Clark Lake. If you go to Google Maps and ask for the satellite overlay, you’ll see the new photo.
The date of the photo was recent. You can see the Beach Bar’s new parking lot with space lines, as well as other details around the lake that point to a recent photo. The day of the photo must have been windy. You can see the wave action, and there are not many boats on the lake.
Google Earth displays an early spring photo from a previous year. This photo is valuable because trees and foliage don’t obstruct the view.
The family has had a cottage at Clark Lake for 44 years. We love it for the happy times we have had there and the calming atmosphere we enjoy so much. Sure has changed in 44 years. Enjoy the raft-o-rama. Always watch the DamCam. Can’t beat the sunsets.
