It takes a multitude of volunteers to conduct this race, now in its 46th year. Leanne Melling coordinates volunteers—the spotters, those who help with the setup and direct parking. You can reach Leanne at leannemelling@gmail.com.
Not only is Run Clark Lake a widely respected athletic competition, but a great event for the Clark Lake community. The activity helps support the Clark Lake Spirit Trail. Most Spirit Trail maintenance is performed by unpaid volunteers, but sometimes it is necessary to employ third parties for improvements and expansions. Examples include the construction of the section between St. Rita and Grand Boulevard, repaving the area adjacent to the Post Office, fixing buckled asphalt, and eliminating destructive weeds.
