Knowing about some road projects in advance could save you time. Here’s one that begins on Tuesday in Jackson. Eastbound I-94 ramp to US 127/M50 (West Avenue) will close for ramp rebuilding. Eastbound I-94 traffic heading for US-127/M-50 (West Avenue) will be detoured to continue on eastbound I-94 to the M-106 (Cooper Street) interchange, then westbound I-94 back to US-127/M-50 (West Avenue).
West of Jackson, the I-94/Michigan Avenue interchange will close on Wednesday for the construction of a round-about. Traffic will be detoured via the Concord and Parma Road interchanges.
Closer to home, potholes are getting worse around Clark Lake. You may already know where the nastiest ones lurk and have developed dodge-em strategies to avoid them. One of them gets the bent-rim award if you’re traveling fast enough and are surprised by it. It’s at the corner of Eagle Point and Jefferson. If heading south, this pothole is on the right, just before the intersection.
