Having started the season on September 5th, the Ladies Shuffleboard League is in full swing. You may see them in action if you visit the Beach Bar on a Thursday evening. The league is also known as the Pine Sliders, a name closely similar to Clark Lake’s iconic water ski club, the Pine Riders. Doesn’t a good name deserved to be used to its fullest?

According to the plaque posted over the table, the Ladies League has been at since 1993. The winning teams are displayed for all to see (the 2023 winners are not yet posted – Suzie Creech and Sue Labatzki).

Pine Sliders have been seen showing up for the final playoffs for the Men’s Shuffleboard. This video will whisk you back to Super Saturday, March 25, 2017. The action starts as Tucker Boyers makes a bold claim, his follow through shot, commentary on the shot from Pam Chmiel and Meredith Szostek (Meredith passed away on October 29, 2020).
