With open water coming and going daily, the intrepid have been making use of what’s available.  First a look at Clark Lake this morning amid the apocalyptic weather predictions.

Yesterday, Dan and Lynne Morea were out for paddle, while avoiding the iced over sections.  In this frame, they appeared to watching the swans.

Then on Sunday, Fleet 58’s Chance Winney and father, Tony, brightened the lake with their Hobies.

On January 1st, water skiing.

Meanwhile, Consumers Energy has sent out a news release testifying to their readiness in case the threatening wind forecast plays out.  “The storm is expected to deliver the most serious impact along the Lake Michigan shore and in West Michigan, though other communities could be affected.”
