“We’re here to keep in practice for summer,” said one of the Motocross participants. Like a Zamboni at a hockey game, snow plows maintained a circular track to enable motorcycles to attain speeds of 40 mph or more. The only way the vehicles can grab the slippery surface is with studded tires (see slide show for a close up). A crowd looking to enjoy Clark Lake in the winter gathered to watch or participate along Ocean Beach Road, just south of the Dam.
In less than sixty seconds, this video will give you the sights and sounds, including aerial views from Eagle II. Scroll down further for the slide show.

We had a good view from the living room (turns 3&4). So glad they lengthen the track for us to get a better view. Mom, as we all did, enjoyed seeing people! Especially all the activity on happen’n on the lake today. Sure do miss the winter festival.b?
This is really exciting to watch as the only way I have ever experienced Clark Lake is summertime. I am 75 and have vacationed there most every summer since I was 4. It looks so very different than what I know. So fun to watch a different season!!!
Thanks Rick, I really liked your video & wish I had actually been there.
