It’s a Clark Lake Christmas tradition. As Christmas approaches, the Ladies Ornament Party supports a family in need. From donations from those attending, gifts are purchased and presented to a family who would not otherwise have a Merry Christmas.
The Ladies Ornament Party met at the Beach Bar in the events room. And the setting was perfect. Decorated for the season and with a fire roaring, the ambiance was just what you would want for an exchange of Christmas ornaments, a buffet and an opportunity to spend to share the warmth of the season with friends.
The party is now in its 18th year. Ily Lyke, Cheryl Beer, Peggy Collins, Dotty Karkheck and others like them are credited with starting this Clark Lake tradition that reaches out to a needy family and is enjoyed by all who attend.
Below are photos of many of those who attended. Please wait for the slide show to load and the photos will advance automatically.
It was fabulous to see so many of my beautiful friends pictures!
Thank you again ladies for a wonderful evening and for all of the work involved to make someones Christmas a little brighter. This event is something I look forward to every year.
Thanks for taking the time to highlight all the great things that go on at this place we call home – Clark Lake. Truly a caring and giving community!
Great article on a great annual endeavor. I was unable to attend this year but looking forward to next year’s event. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to donate to something that will result in making one family’s Christmas so much brighter.
