Tokyo doesn’t have anything on Clark Lake. That’s because kids take center stage for the Triathlon on Saturday, right here. As the name Triathlon suggests, it consists of three events—swim, bike, and run. More specifically, the swim is 200 feet between two Yacht Club docks. The bike ride, 3/4 mile; and the run, 1/4 mile, take place on the grounds and nearby Spirit Trail. Raft-O-Rama and the Clark Lake Yacht Club join together to present this event, and it happens at the Yacht Club.
Registration starts at 9 am, and the action begins at 10 am. There are two age divisions–9 and under, and 10-13. All participants must have a life jacket for the swim and a helmet for the biking.
And the awards? Medals for the top three in each.
The Yacht Club says look for post-Triathlon fun, too.
Parents enjoy the event, too.
The 2020 Triathlon was cancelled because of you know what. The 2019 Triathlon brought out the best of the Clark Lake Spirit from all who participated or attended. Here are more memories from 2019.
