Jefferson Road, between Hayes and Ocean Beach, is closed today.  Work crews have opened up a section of the road to repair a culvert that allows water to drain from ditches on the north side of the road to a swamp on the south side of the road.  The on-site crew believes work will be completed today, unless interrupted by weather.

Jackson County road crews also took the opportunity to lay down a tar-like sealer and cover it with gravel.  So beware of loose gravel in that area of Jefferson Road when it reopens.

Additionally the road side growth was getting a trim this morning.
