There’s lots of cool stuff on the walls of Mickel’s Barn, site of the Harvest Moon Pig Roast and Tailgate.

The Clark Lake Community Center showed again that they know how to bring Clark Lake a good time.  A combination of ingredients made for an enjoyable experience Saturday evening (Sept 14th).  It started with roasted pig and chicken.  Then added to that was both a silent auction and regular auction. The evening had a tailgate spin–guests showed their team spirit by what they wore and how they decorated their tables.  Then there was the live music from “13th Floor.”  Every two years the CLCC sponsors this event as their major fundraiser.

Tables were set up for guests and there was plenty of room for people to mingle.

The event was held at Mickel’s Barn, a great setting for a Harvest Moon celebration.  The barn has all sorts of memorabilia on the walls, makes use of creative lighting, and provides a comfortable venue for an event like this.  Clark Lake turned out, and it sure looked like they enjoyed the evening.

Comment from John Karkheck, of the Clark Lake Community Center:

On behalf of all of the Board at the CLCC (Dotty, Diane, John, Ogden, Sandy, Walt and myself) thank you to all of the attendees in the area that supported our event with their donations, purchases and attendance.
Those of you who couldn’t be there to support us, for whatever the reason…we hope to have your support at the next one – 2 years from now.

You truly missed a great event.  “One of the best so far”, as I have heard from many- last night and today.
Again, a huge thank you to “The Tucker Boyers and Donny Fowler auctioneer show” and  the Mickels family for again opening their facility and their hearts to help the CLCC and their community, that we all love so much.
