In its usual position at this time of day, the sun hung above the west end of the lake. Would there be a giant hiss when this ball of solar energy touched the damp, swampy area just west of Hyde Road? No. It was eaten by a cloud before that happened. But until it slipped away, the sun certainly put on a show, as it often does at Clark Lake.
