The 2025 Fall Regatta began with a dilemma.  Would there be enough wind?  As Saturday wore on, the question was answered.  There was wind that allowed for one race.  Along with overcast skies, it was the spirit of the day and the Hobies’ colorful sails that brought brightness to the event.  Sunday was a complete turnaround.  The weather favored this annual event.  The wind picked up and three races were completed – and the competition was kissed by the sun.

The Regatta stayed at the east end of the lake.  It takes more wind for a successful passage through the two points

The 2025 Regatta featured six Hobies, six Rebels and three Wayfarers all determined to win.  Check out this video to hear what Chance Winnie and Joe Thorrez had to say about Hobies.

Annual turnout reflects the schedule of other events happening over the same weekend.  In 2019, the Buccaneers held their national championship at Clark Lake.  They were joined by the Sunfish Regionals, and all the boats participating in the Yacht Club’s Clark Lake Invitational.  Click to review that action-packed event.

So who took home the 2025 hardware?  Here are the results alphabetically by class and order of finish.  Note: the photos taken on Saturday reflect the overcast conditions.  Sunday was much different.  After checking how the boats placed, scroll down for some sailboat eye-candy from Sunday.
