How can a hockey match, dodgeball, axe throwing, and Clark Lake be part of the same sentence?  The annual Clark Lake Cup was cancelled this year because of poor ice.  With Clark Lakers arriving from their winter locations, the spirit of the game prevailed.

It started with a gathering at the Beach Bar Friday evening.  Then at 1 pm Saturday (2/3), some participants and their entourages headed toward a tennis court on Eagle Point Drive.  That’s where dodgeball and axe throwing became part of this year’s atypical event.

The day was sunny and clear, just like last year – but warmer.  Here’s a look at what happened.

Smiling faces and wagging doggy tails.

Dodgeball means no mercy.

Work out the stress – throw an axe.
