As noted several times on this website, work continues to extend the Spirit Trail between Rita Drive and Grand Blvd. Jackson County meets on the proposal today and a decision is expected. Stay tuned!
Tucker Boyers, who chairs the project for the Spirit Trail, emphasizes how this extension will improve safety. The area involved is at a curve on North Lake Road where the speed limit is 45 mph. Runners, walkers and cyclist can avoid this traffic off the road, if this connector is approved. Both users of the trail and motorists will feel the benefit.
