The Clark Lake Community Center is an example of what this community can do when it sets a goal.  At one time, the structure that is now the Community Center, was originally a cottage built in 1898-9 by the Graziani family. You can read the full story here. The cottage stood for many years on Kentucky Point. In 1997, the cottage was moved onto a barge, floated to the east end of the lake and placed at its current location in the County Park. Then a major restoration process began. This piece of Clark Lake history was not only preserved, but now serves the practical purpose of hosting events. Ongoing maintenance and improvements require lots of work of the volunteers, and of course, financial support.  The Clark Lake Community Center looks forward to your support.

Below a view similar to what you might see if standing in front of where the Community Center is now located.  Judging from the cars, this photo is probably from the 1930s.  Photo: Ella Sharp Museum
