To those who donated to the restoration of the Clark Lake Community Center and the Pretty Pergola Campaign:  come see the progress tomorrow (Thurs 10/26).  The Open House, between 3 pm and 6 pm, will feature the work that has been accomplished.  It will also illustrate the Community Center’s dual mission – to Preserve Clark Lake’s past and provide a friendly setting for people to gather.  The Clark Lake Spirit Foundation hopes you will take this opportunity to view the progress, to say hello to the hard working volunteers, and to enjoy the company of others who, like yourself, have turbo-powered its success.

A sneak preview of what you’ll see first: the new portico.  The north door formerly seemed like a utility entry.  Now it feels like an entrance that truly welcomes guests.  To the right is the recently installed Historical Marker.  The Jackson County Michigan Historical Society has recognized the impact of saving one Clark Lake’s original cottages.

Once inside, you’ll see the Pretty Pergola Plaque and Recognition Display.  So as not to spoil your visit tomorrow, we’ll stop for now.  There’s more when you arrive.
