After yesterday’s all too short preview of the coming season, today felt like a step back. Monday at Clark Lake, the high temperature reached 75 degrees. The water temperature was 58 degrees. Today the air temperature barely pushed past 50, and the west northwest winds added a reminder that it’s still April after a long, cold winter. Today’s water temperature dropped to 52 degrees.
But docks are sprouting everywhere. Every day boats launch from the ramp at the head-of-the-lake, and typically make a beeline directly to where they will be moored for the season. The boats spending time on the lake are there for fishing.
