Clark Lake sounded off yesterday morning.  Along the shoreline, you could hear the ice crackling.  It had formed overnight and was then being treated to the warmth of the sun.  Like Frosty the Snowman, it was thawing.  Meanwhile, out from shore, the lake rumbled–deep growls.  The air was still, so the sound you’ll hear in the video is the lake readjusting itself, not the wind.

All of it is a sign the ice is melting, and spring is on the way.  Check it out for yourself in the video.  Be sure to turn up the sound.

Is this Clark Lake’s voice of the turtle?
