The Clark Lake Community Center at the County Park is gearing up to decorate for holidays. But John Karkheck reports that their Christmas decorations are “quite old and tired.” John goes on to point out that this is “the time when people upgrade their decorations and either toss the old or save them for that ‘mystery’ garage sale that doesn’t ever seem to come.” So John and the CLCC crew are seeking donations of artificial Christmas trees, garland, and other assorted decorations to restock their supply.
The Community Center generally decorates the week before Thanksgiving. You can drop your items off at the Karkheck’s home at 8178 N. Shore or at the Center with prior arrangements (John’s cell is 745-2929). The Center can also give you a tax deduction slip, if you wish.
