Carpe momentum translated is “seize the moment,” a variation on the Dead Poets Society “carpe diem.” Although this fall day (Sun 11/19) was inspiring, several minutes in the evening were especially worthy. Lynne Morea must have thought so.
“Seize the moment” describes opportune times like this evening. Especially magical sunsets have been known to change in a wink of an eye, or the amount of time it takes to walk from the front lawn to the end of the dock. “Now” is a proper word for such situations.
Those gathered along the shoreline also witnessed Clark Lake’s abundant offering, peaceful and awesome, all at the same time.
