Boat Splash got rained on, but not washed out. At the proposed start time of 3 pm, the rain had moderated to a sprinkle, but it was not close to being clear. A few rafts did venture out, and here are some pics.
This year so many close contact events have been canceled or postponed. Raft-O-Rama was one of them. Raft-O-Rama’s 60th anniversary will instead be celebrated in 2021.
The Boat Splash was loosely organized by neighbors wanting to take a romp around the lake. Unlike Raft-O-Rama, no decorating was required, the theme being “Anything Goes.” Even though a Raft-O-Rama judging banner hung on one of the rafts, the committee and its affiliates were not involved.
What a great way to spend a rainy day on the lake.
Thank You to all that came out on their rafts and those who came out in their yards and on their decks.
LIFE IS GOOD AT CLARK LAKE EVEN IN THE RAIN, we are sooo fortunate.
Way to go! No stopping the east side of the lake. Having fun and in no need of a trophy!
