After working with different non-profits for years it amazes me just how many people don’t understand the value and benefits of “giving back”.  Obviously not a foreign concept to my family.  Let me share one notable recent exception to the rule, right here at the Lake.

Last evening the restaurant “In Good Company” hosted the Jackson College Foundation for one of their Community Nights.  The JC Foundation’s sole purpose is to raise funds for students scholarships – not salaries or bricks and mortar.  They have these nights scheduled for many months in advance, and donate 15% of the total guests bills for a time period to a chosen non-profit.  We do luckily have many companies in this area who understand as well.  Yes, they Get It!  The food was wonderful and the staff very attentive.

I encourage anyone to stop in for a great meal – breakfast, lunch or dinner.  They volunteered this service to us.  I also encourage anyone with a worthy cause or non-profit to ask to fill one of their open dates.  The dates are filling fast. do it today.
