Clark Lake’s Big Weekend is almost here. It begins with Run Clark Lake Saturday morning. Then on Sunday, it’s Raft-O-Rama. For all Raft-O-Rama details, click here.
Run Clark Lake continues to grow in popularity, with even more participants registering this year. Race Director Pat Dwyer is expecting a strong turnout. Widely admired both locally and within the broader running community, Run Clark Lake is a standout event that brings energy and excitement to the lake each summer.

In this video, Pat takes you back to 1976 for the very beginnings of this race and traces its growth to today. He also gives helpful advice on how to participate in the race, be a volunteer, or just come for the fun.
Pat Dwyer’s words of advice:
Pat says “we’re getting low on shirts, so if you want a shirt register online before the cutoff Thursday at midnight.” On Friday, register at the Beach Bar between 5:30 and 7:30 pm. If you’re already registered, come Friday evening to avoid the crowds on Saturday morning. Registration is also open on race day at 7 am.
For the Kids Run, registration stays open until 9:30 am on Saturday. The kids race at 9:45 am.
If you want to volunteer, call Leanne Melling at 206-5152

Hi! My sister runs marathons and is also running the Clarklake run this weekend (12k). She mentioned that when she does these events, it’s helpful when people turn their sprinkler on so the runners can cool off while they’re running. Is this something that we could possibly allow people (like myself that live on the spirit trail) to allow sprinklers to be run just for the time that the runners are running? She also mentioned plenty of ambulances and fire trucks readily available in case there is heat exhaustion. But it would be better to prevent the need for them.
She asked me and I thought it was a great idea. Please let me know what you think!
The Clark Lake Community as a whole owes Pat Dwyer and Liz a huge thank you for all they have done over the many years supporting the Clark Lake Spirit Trail!
Thank you so very much for loving Clark Lake and all your efforts for making are CL Community so very special to so many!
Sincerely, Tucker Boyers
