A solar storm generated quiet drama in many locations – Clark Lake was among them.  The first set of  photos in this slide show were taken by Elaine Stewart from her vantage in the Eagle Point Cove.

Tom Kohut also witnessed the display from a variety of locations – looking east from Hyde Road, north from E Lane and North Shore, White Road, North Lake and F Lane.  Here are his photos.

A solar storm produced the dazzling displays, apparently over most of the northern hemisphere.  NOAA says that cell phones sometimes pick up more of the action than the unaided human eye.
