Columbia Charter Township Police ask for your help in solving a crime. The following is from Chief Jay Niles:
On September 27th, 2024, at 4:21am Columbia Charter Township Police Department was dispatched to Doyle’s Market upon receiving an alarm activation. While officers were enroute to the store further information was provided that supported a valid breaking and entering was in progress. On arrival, officers secured the building, finding the suspects were no longer in or near the property . The scene of the crime was investigated. Various pieces and types of evidence were collected and secured. The evidence included, but was not limited to DNA evidence, along with video surveillance and many other items of evidentiary value. The suspects fled the scene of the crime with an undisclosed amount of property.
