Black Lives Matter is coming to Brooklyn on Saturday (July 20). Organizers intend to bring the protest to the village between 10 am and 5 pm. Some of those planning to be there were involved in the recent protest in Jackson.
Interim Police Chief Jay Niles says Columbia Township Police are aware that it’s coming. “We are looking forward to a positive event. At the end of the day, we want no injuries or damage to property and for it to be a safe event.” Sergeant Niles says he is cautiously optimistic.
Don’t let them destroy our community and just stand there and it happen,it’s time the protest stop
The protesters were few, peaceful and engaged. I think their time could be better spent getting out the vote. Making sure everyone has easy access to the voting process is the important thing now. Many communities are looking for ways to suppress the vote.
Please name just one of the “many” communities trying to suppress the vote…..also please include your proof of this.
