As he pulled blue gills through the ice, John Calhoun came up with a frigid fish surprise!:

I was fishing last week and was reeling in an 8-inch bluegill when suddenly the line was burning off my micro reel. Fighting whatever it was for a few minutes, I finally managed to get a 29-inch pike through my 6-inch auger hole. The pike had grabbed the bluegill and wedged it vertically in it’s mouth. Unable to let go, I was able to land both fish on 2-lb. test line, which is normally close to impossible. Here’s a few shots of the pike, bluegill and the rest of the catch! The last picture is of a 7-lb. walleye.
