A battalion of utility repair trucks assembled at the Vining Street substation at 10 am today (Thurs 7/27). Fourteen crews, contractors from Ohio, will fan out. As of 10:15 am, 7 hazard sites existed. Once corrected, power will be restored.
Yesterday’s Red Code storm left its mark. One of the hazard sites was on Finch Street, off of Hyde Road.
Yesterday, the force of the storm toppled a raft at its dock on the North Shore.
At Lake Columbia, things were worse. An estimated 10 or more lifts and boats or rafts were flipped over.
Last night, a raft drifted aimlessly. Thanks to Fritz Wilger and Columbia Township Police, it was reunited with its owner.
Rain gauge: 2 1/2 inches
