At a time when police have taken hits in some communities, Clark Lake is standing up in support of its own. Saturday’s Thin Blue Line is a fund raiser for the Columbia Township Police “Shop with a Cop” program. One-hundred percent of the funds will benefit needy children at Christmas.
The event takes place at the Clark Lake Community Center noon to 5 pm, Saturday, August 25th. Once there:
- Meet local police
- View their vehicles
- Learn about the critical opioid addiction situation with special guest Mike Hirst
- Purchase Thin Blue Line items for sale
- Partake of free cookies and lemonade
- Enjoy entertainment provided by Billy Productions
The goal is to raise $1,500. Are you in?
Not able to attend, but would like to donate? Check should be payable to Columbia Township Police, and in the memo, note “Shop with a Cop.” You can drop off checks at Karkheck’s, 8178 North Shore.
