Yesterday’s storm (Wed 9/21), though over quickly, was enough to trigger a Code Red warning from 10:46 am to 11:45 am.  Tuesday, lightning flashes certainly suggested a storm was on the way.  To be sure, Clark Lake received a pounding.  Diane Deming caught this dramatic lightning flash over the lake at 7:19 pm Tuesday.

Though no widespread damage, the evidence below, on Lakeview West at 9:30 am Wednesday, illustrates there was some power behind the overnight storm.

Beth June’s rain gauge showed about an inch of rain.

And after several days of summer-like 80 degree weather, a fall-like change is in the air.  As of 10:10 am (Thurs), the wind is out of the northwest and temperature is 55 degrees.
