The Shop with a Cop fundraiser takes place at a new location this year–the Eagle’s Nest. The event happens on Saturday, October 30, from noon to 3 pm.
100% of the funds raised will go to the Columbia Township Police Shop with a Cop program. The program is designed to help children in need during the holidays. With the funds raised, local police officers take needy kids to stores to pick out Christmas gifts. John Lefere will drive the officers and kids on their gift-buying rounds in his luxurious motor coach. Later, all will be treated to lunch at the Brooklyn Sportsman Club, where wives will wrap the presents.
At Saturday’s event is the chance to meet officers and see their vehicles. Halloween treats for all are promised.
In this video, you’ll see the event from last year, how it helped kids, and a special story about one in particular.
Once again, people step up to help others! It’s wonderful!
