To achieve magic on your shoreline, it takes a neighborly collaboration. Imagine the soft glow of luminaries on the evening of Thursday, July 4th at Clark Lake. That many join in says something about the Clark Lake Community choosing to celebrate Independence Day. Tomorrow (Sun 6/30) between noon and 2 pm, Krissy Hull and Karen Menard will be camped out in the Mugsy’s parking lot on Ocean Beach Road. Just give them the $15 donation for your Clark Lake tote bag with 10 luminaries, and your ready for July 4th.
Luminaries are also available at Shipwreck Party Store on Eagle Point, thanks to Blair and Chelsea Huff. The party store hours are Sun-Thurs 10 am – 6 pm, Fri and Sat 10 am – 8 pm. (Same hours as the gas dock).
Thanks to Blair II, Lois, and McGowan for their awesome work in displaying the luminaries at Shipwreck.
In case you’re new to the luminary world, here are the instructions for placing and lighting them.
What were Dotty Karkheck, Louie and Michele Ambs, Sandy Simon, Tricia Boyers, Ruthann Hankins and her mother, Ann Swain up to Thursday night? Each was representing a Clark Lake organization at the Beach Bar. The invitation was extended to those in the community to come by and learn more about each group – Raft-O-Rama, Lions Club, Garden Angels, and Spirit Trail. You hear about these groups all the time. Have you ever thought about becoming part of one or more of them?
