For ten years, an event designed for ladies only raised money for the Clark Lake Spirit Trail. Ladies Night Out Wine Tasting took place at the Beach Bar on a Thursday late in May. Last year, as in the past, spirits were lifted as ladies renewed friendships, discovered new ones, and perhaps shared a secret or two. Only two men were allowed, and for that, only a short time. This was a night for and about the ladies.
The event will not take place this year on what would have been the 11th anniversary. Although successful in its fundraising mission, events like these don’t happen on their own. It takes many hours of planning and lots effort to ensure that every detail goes as planned and that the event meets its fund raising mission. Ann Swain comments “we’re taking a breather and perhaps the event will return next year. Thanks to everyone who supported Ladies Night Out.”
