The 2014 Kids Triathlon competitors
Once again, the call is out to compete in the Kayak Races and Kids Triathlon. The events, hosted by the Clark Lake Yacht Club on their grounds, take place on Sunday, July 26th. Registration is at 10 am and is free.
The Kayak Races are the first competitions of the day. They include two events–one for kids 15 and under, and one for those 16 and older. The races starts at 10:30 am and follow a course from the Yacht Club to Eagle Point and back. Kids will compete for first, second and third place trophies; and those 16 and older will compete for a first place trophy.
The Kids Triathlon features a swimming course in front of the Yacht Club. Biking and running courses will be in the area of the Yacht Club grounds. Participants earn medals for their performance. Kids are invited to enjoy a free lunch courtesy of the Yacht Club after the events.
Although there is no formal Sail-O-Rama this year, the Yacht Club invites those who would like to sail to join the 1:15 pm race that Sunday. Warning horn sounds at 12:45 pm.
