Ok, I get that people are going fast down that stretch of road – the limit is 45, but the golf cart drivers need to pay better attention as well. Some of these golf cart drivers are just out of control, and assume that THEY ONLY have the right of way… I’m truly sorry that
anyone was injured, but to automatically assume that this is the car driver is at fault is really unfair
I agree with Kathy. It seems curious that the damage to the SUV was in the passenger side.
Nothing curious to see. The golf cart spun around and smashed the side similar to a deer strike. I was there. The vehicle was not speeding, they pulled out right into him not paying attention.
I hope that everyone ends up OK. Traffic Safety is no joke.
I’d like to see the following:
1). Speed limit lowered to 35 on account of both the golf course and residential.
2) Road fixed at expense of state or federal govt because it’s just junk.
3). Freshly painted stripes in roadway.
4). Warning sign for right of way – and let pedestrians and golf carts have the right of way – so change the law if necessary.
5). Road sign warning of golf cart traffic post both north and south at sufficient distance.
I hope everyone is OK, and have no idea or concern with fault – just rather let’s make our community better.
There needs to be a stop sign at Wesch and Hayes.
