Consumers Energy crews are installing a new utility pole on Hayes Drive today (Fri 9/30). The photo shows a transformer being hosted to the pole. They new pole will serve houses on either side of the road.
Earlier, a contractor ran underground electrical cable from Jefferson Road to the pole. This cable run is different from the Frontier internet project. Click here to learn about it.
The target pole is on the east side of Hayes and south of the entrance to the Clark Lake Yacht Club. Consumers has been working on other installations at the lake recently. Transformers were on the ground along Q Lane a week ago.
Now they are mounted on poles.
