The Quilting Cottage was preparing to open in Brooklyn on April 1st.  Little did Michele Studer know her plans would change so much.  Michele, who lives at Clark Lake, is putting her talent as a quilter to work to address the current shortage of masks.  She’s organizing other sewers in the area to join the effort.  So, what was to be an April 1st grand opening has morphed into fighting COVID-19.

What Michele is doing is providing templates and supplies.  She is permitted to pick up and deliver or receive finished product at her new store, located across the street from The Exponent.  Once completed masks will go to hospitals in Tecumseh and Adrian.

If you would like to join the effort, you can reach Michele at (517) 938-8191 or at michele@brooklynqc.com.
