Run Clark Lake is a major community events, and is widely recognized in the vast world of running.  Nearly a thousand annually gather to compete in the 5k, 12k, 5k Walk, and 3/4k Kids Run.  This year’s event takes place on August 6th.

Run Clark Lake Director Pat Dwyer can tell you the history—how it grew from the Clark Lake 7 to what it is today.  He can tell you the stories of the many who trained, succeeded, and won honors as they passed the finish line.   At the awards ceremony, top performers receive their trophies, prizes, and their name in the permanent record.  Whether or not they won an accolade, many hold their accomplishment as an unforgettable life experience.

Over the years, Run Clark Lake has made a big difference.  As one of the Spirit Trail founders, Pat will tell you that a major goal is to raise money for this Clark Lake treasure.  To be sure, the work never ends.  The Trail requires not only the love of unpaid volunteers, but at times, hiring third-parties for major maintenance and construction projects.

Events like these do not run themselves.  What makes this Spirit Trail event possible are the dozens who form a volunteer army.  But there is more.  How? Each participant receives a t-shirt.  Because of what they mean to the competitors, they see the light of day often.  Financial support for Run Clark Lake comes from businesses that see the value of connecting to this community.  That’s why you see their logos on these t-shirts.  Can your business help?  Contact Pat at 517 782-6106 or email at sixthdwyer@comcast.net.
