Columbia Charter Township Police responded to a vehicle vs structure crash at Riverside and Brooklyn Road on May 9th just before noon.
On arrival at the scene of the crash officers discovered that there were no injuries to the occupant of the truck nor anybody within the residence. Police say the crash investigation revealed the operator of the Dodge Ram truck was traveling north on Brooklyn Road and failed to maintain control during acceleration. The truck left the roadway and struck the residence. The driver of the Dodge truck, 30-year-old Benjamin S. Anderson of Napoleon Township, was cited for careless driving and operating a vehicle without insurance. Alcohol was not a factor in this crash. Assisting at the scene of the crash was Columbia Charter Township Fire Department.
